I am working on setting up a site for a customer that needs the Caption included on the main page with the thumbnails using the Image Gallery content. Currently, the image gallery requires the user to click on the thumbnail before this is displayed with or without Compact Mode enabled. I decided to use Compact Mode because each image uploaded to the site has both Caption and Description content that need to be visible for the user. This works fine when the user clicks on the thumbnail image. The problem originates with the need to identify each image base on an item number entered in the Caption field. Currently there are 70+ images included within their Image Gallery and to identify the image by item number, they have to click each one to see the Caption/Description.
By including the Caption on the main thumbnail display, under the image perhaps, they could quickly scan for the item number. By using the search field you can quickly search for an item number but it only displays the Page, i.e. Current Inventory, and does not pull up the Image from the Gallery specifically.
Is there a way to change this behavior or a different Content Type that would allow for this.
For reverence, you can visit : http://callahanantiques.sphosted.com/current-inventory.aspx
Assume you have a web visitor call in and tell you they are looking at Item # (A118) and need to get more information. Or perhaps the just sold item (A118) and now the image needs to be pulled from the Current Inventory page. The only way to do this currently is to click on each picture within the Gallery until you get to the correct item.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
