did you install our skin exporter plugin?

when you export the skin from artisteer it creates a folder with some files. Make sure the folder name has no spaces or special characters and copy the folder under /Data/Sites/[SiteID]/skins folder, then it should appear in the skin list in site settings page

siteid is usually 1 unless it is a multi site installation
