Issues with search control

  • What operating system were you running when the bug appeared?
  • What database platform is your site using?
  • What version of mojoPortal are you running?
  • What version of .NET do you use?
  • What steps are necessary to reproduce the issue? Compare expected results vs actual results.

Issues with search control

I've noticed a couple of other issues with the site search control...

  1. In the settings, there's a minor issue with multi-select in the lists of "All features" and "Selected Features". If you select three items and push them, only the first and last make the move. If you select two, only the first moves.
  2. The "Show search results instead of redirect to search page?" value changes the css for the input control, which in our sites can make the input box and button disappear or move. Specifically, when this is False, div "ctl00_mainContent_ctl02_pnlSearch" gets assigned class="searchpanel ", which it doesn't have when the value is True. Obviously we can change the css to stop this having a bad effect, but it might be better to have the class consistent across the two settings.
  3. When "Show search results instead of redirect to search page?" is True, and a search finds no results, nothing is displayed. This mark-up is added: <ol class="searchresultlist"> </ol>. On the main results page, an empty search displays "No results found." which is more friendly.
