Forum posts: images with brackets in name vanished by NeatHTML

If you embed an image with brackets in the file name e.g. bbtoverview-(test).jpg in a forum post, the image doesn't display as the html has been mangled:

<p><img alt="" src_NeatHtmlReplace="/Data/Sites/277/media/bbtoverview-(test).jpg" style="width: 550px; height: 331px;" /></p>

Replicated in the forums on the demo site.

Just bringing this issue back to the top of the list as it keeps on biting us. I'm not sure why users are using images with brackets in their names so much recently, but I cannot make them stop!

Perhaps the issue is in 3rd party code? I couldn't find an active project for NeatHTML...?

For the next release I will make it remove brackets on upload as we remove other characters from uploaded files and images.

I don't intend to modify NeatHtml restrictions as it could have unintended results.

Note that if you mark a user as Trusted in user management then it bypasses neathtml in rendering forum posts by that user so nothing is restricted in that case.
