One nice to have feature would be to have a "max characters" value for Text and Paragraph Text field types.

With a non zero limit set, those Text boxes would then stop keyboard entries once the max limit had been reached.

Or if this is possible and can you explain how I can attach Javascript to these controls?

EDIT: if the HTML5 attribute "maxlength" can be added to the <textarea> control that would work in most browsers, right?
