Problem uploading new file (started this morning)

Hello,

I have a problem when i try to upload a new file to my website.

It shows the error:
"Oops something went wrong uploading, you may want to contact the site administrator an error was probably logged."

But it's not logged in System Log. :(

I don't know what to do, because it was working till this morning.
Suddenly it's not working anymore.

I'm trying to upload a 4 MB file.

I've tried the workaround to enter a folder, and go up to root. But it did not solved the problem.

I read that maybe an update can solve it (?), but the question is: why was it working fine before?

My Info:
mojoPortal Version 2.3.9.9 MSSQL
Operating System Microsoft Windows NT 6.0.6002 Service Pack 2
ASP.NET Info v4.0.30319 Running in Full Trust

Re: Problem uploading new file (started this morning)

Hi,

Possibly something in your environment or configuration changed. Maybe file system permissions were lost so it can't upload and it can't log anything. Or possibly you need to increase the quota settings listed at the bottom of the article Allowing Users to Upload and Browse files.

See also Supporting Large File Uploads.

Those 2 articles have all the information that I know for troubleshooting file upload problems.

Hope that helps,

Joe

Re: Problem uploading new file (started this morning)

I recently (yesterday) installed the new version of mojoportal and I'm having problems with loading files into shared files pages...

When I try to upload a file, after choose it, the upload button doesn't work. Some time, the Upload button disappears and the button Select Files appears and does nothing but damage the complete page.

I installed this new version yesterday and today I'm getting crazy.. Is there a way to talk to somebody that can help me?

I'll appreciate your help.

Best regards!

Re: Problem uploading new file (started this morning)

everything I know to troubleshoot file upload problems is in the 2 articles I already posted on this thread. I have nothing new to add at this time. Please read those articles carefully and thoroughly because they have a lot of information.

Re: Problem uploading new file (started this morning)

Thanks Joe, but I have a bigger problem !!. Those articles, didn't work.

When I select the file to load, and click on the Upload button, nothing happens. No errors in the log page, no errors in the windows event log, nothing. That's why I'm worry. I have no clue about where to go..

Another Error is when i use the help. The help opens a transparent windows within help text inside but it is not visible because it mixes with the windows content in the back... , Please Joe, help.

I won't be able to drink a beer today until I fix this problem. I'm getting crazy..

Re: Problem uploading new file (started this morning)

check your page for javascript errors (use the web browser javascript console in browser dev tools) that may be preventing the javascript for the file upload

try using a different skin, maybe there is some bad javascript in your skin that is interfering

Re: Problem uploading new file (started this morning)

file drag and drop and multi file selection is only going to work on newer browsers, IE 10 or newer for IE, but it still should be possible to upload one file at a time in older browsers.

Do you have any problem uploading on our demo site?

Re: Problem uploading new file (started this morning)

ok, turn that IE 11 compatibility junk off under Tools > Compatibility View Settings

uncheck the box that makes it use compatibility on intranets
