I'm upgrading a site from 2.3.8.5 to the latest version from Codeplex (2.3.9.7 - for .Net4.) - mojoportal-2-3-9-7-mssql-net40-deploymentfiles

I have FTP'd the files from my local machine, amended web.config, and then logged onto the site to run the upgrade, but it is failing with the following error:

Something is wrong in your database, it should never try to run script version 2.2.1.9 since that is older than the version you started with. You need to update the row in the mp_SchemaVersion table that has mojoportal-core so it matches the version you started with ie 2.3.8.5 if you are sure that is your previous version. You could also look in the mp_SchemaScriptHistory to find the highest version script that was previously run for mojoportal-core then update mp_SchemaVersion with the correct previous version.

Once you correct the data in mp_SchemaVersion you should visit the setup page again and it should proceed starting at the next higher script ie 2.3.8.6
