So I have determined what the cause of this issue was.  Apparently the value for the key="mojoProfileConfigFileName" was CustomProfile.config and not the mojoProfile.config file I was using.  After changing that setting and updating the web.config file, the exception is no longer thrown. I did also correct the issue in the CustomProfile.config file to further prevent other issues.
