This is the place to report bugs and get support. When posting in this forum, please always provide as much detail as possible.
Please do not report problems with a custom build or custom code in this forum. If you are producing your own build from the source code and have problems or questions, ask in the developer forum, do not report it as a bug.
When posting in this forum, please try to provide as many relevant details as possible. Particularly the following:
I've upgraded to 2.3.9.3, and I'm loving the ability to attach files to blog posts. My first example... this little ditty from the great Ivor Cutler, Scottish surrealist and president of the Noise Abatement Society, popped into my mind while I tackled a foul drain today.
But back to reality, I find the new internal comments module doesn't do spam blocking. I have "Enable Comment SPAM Blocking" switched on, but no captcha appears. I've reproduced this on the demo site.
PS. quite a few typo's in the comment system help, e.g. "by defsault is is populated with re:The Blog Post Title but users who post cna edit it.". This should probably be another thread, but I have an idea that all these help links could pull their help from a web service accessing centrally edited content (passing in culture and context), instead of the local help files, then trusted community members could more easily help tidy and improve the contents.
Yes it does, for anonymous users. Authenticated users should not have to fill out a captcha to comment.
Thanks for the heads up on the typos, I'll fix them now.
Best,
Joe
I had a feeling I was missing something obvious while writing that one - makes sense now, thanks Joe.
I've just noticed that the "Contact Form" does still show the captcha to authenticated users, even when logged in as admin.
Thanks! I just fixed this in my copy so it will be fixed in the next release.
