Build Deployment Package Error

Download the latest version: commit 50999d5c76c5

Using Visual Web Developer 2010 Express on Windows System.When trying to publish using Build Deployment Package option, always got error:

Copying file Properties\PublishProfiles\Profile1.pubxml to obj\Release\Package\PackageTmp\Properties\PublishProfiles\Profile1.pubxml failed. Could not find file 'Properties\PublishProfiles\Profile1.pubxml'.

I got the latest file "mojoPortal.Web.csproj" from online, if trying to deployment still getting same error.

Hey Joe, I had the same problem this weekend with Visual Studio Pro. I started from scratch to make sure it wasn't something in my own code: New clone from repository, configuration: Release, changed machine key in web.config, full build, tried deploy to file system, and after the deploy process finished its own build, I got that same error (nothing published to the target folder).

Hi Jamie,

Thanks for confirming that. From googling it turns out to be something in recent updates to VS, apparently VS has add my publish profile to the project without me being aware of it and I had not committed my publish profile files to the repository since they are specific to my machine. The fix is simple just exclude the /Properties/PublishProfiles folder from the mojoPortal.Web project. You can do it locally but I will also do that and push it to the repository by the end of the day.
