Visual Studio 2010 not running the Java Script to render the page?

Visual Studio 2010 not running the Java Script to render the page?

In the default installation, ( http://www.microsoft.com/web/gallery/install.aspx?appsxml=&appid=MojoPortal ), and setup the Home button is actually a button and when you hover over it the text changes color.  However with the download from TourtiseHG upon rendering the home.aspx page, Home is not a button at all in the upper left hand corner but rather a simple underlined hyperlink.  Also the border around the text is not rendered at all when running the visual studio debug, and the text in the center panel has no spacing between the paragraphs as the default download has.

Let me know what you think is going on.

Never mind... I reloaded the skin via the general tab of the Site Settings page from Administration and all is well.  I now have all of the appropriate formatting, fonts, etc. as in production.  I suppose the first time you run in debug mode, not all of the settings are loaded in the visual studio IIS the same what it is in produciton IIS 7.

Would be curious if there is an explanation for the behavior, but I'll chalk it up to initial loads of components for the first time...

The explanation is, I took the artisteer31-green from production and copied it to the site 1 skins directory overwritting the one that was downloaded and installed from TortoiseHG.  The skin isn't actually updated until you change load it from the Site Settings page.  Mystery solved.
