Mojo 2.3.8.5 MSSSQL

I have an odd problem with a new site I'm working on. 

I have created 3 artisteer 3.1 skins and installed them to different sections of the site prior to a client meeting to decide on the final design. The first 2 are fine and when I change the MaxDataBindDepth to 0 on the SiteMenu in theme.skin the horizontal submenus are disabled. However on the third I cannot get the submenus to be disabled - the Theme.skin setting for SiteMenu are the same. The odd one is based on Atristeer31-hovermenu. 

Another question  - when you have multiple skins in a site does the reset skin GUID tool reset them all or just the default used by the management pages?

A related problem I am seeing with all my new skins,

Basic layout is a simple horizontal leve1 menu

Simple vertical level 2 menu - all working fine

BUT where I occasionally add a level 3 item the parent level 2 item just opens the level 3 and no longer navigates to it's own content. Not sure what I have done. The level 2 link has the correct page url but does not navigate. If I access the page from the site menu or the admin pages the content shows fine so it must be something about the vertical menu setup.
