Nivo Slider On A Single Page.

Nivo Slider On A Single Page.

Greetings,

               Nivo Slider works great if you add it to the master page.

http://www.mojoportal.com/mojoportal-2385-released

But I want the slider to show up the home page only. If I add the code to an HTML content section on the home page, it's not rendered.

Any guidelines would be appreciated.

You could put an instance of the Image Gallery feature on the home page and enable Nivo there, see the article Using Nivo Slider.

You could also use a different skin on your home page that has the nivo slider in layout.master and a different skin for the rest fo your site without Nivo.

Hi,

  1. If I add an image gallery, I receive NO option to enable nivo slider in the settings.
  2. How do I use different master pages for the home page and the rest of the site?

Support for Nivo was added to the Image Gallery feature in version 2.3.9.0 of mojoPortal.

In Site Settings there is a check box to enable page specific skins, once you check that box a skin dropdown list will appear in page settings, so you can make a copy of your skin with nivo and assign it to the home page and have a copy without Nivo as the site default skin. You can put the css files used by both skins in a common location as discussed in the article Understanding the style.config file.
