Hi,
Sorry for the delayed response.
I have some events that have past their event date, they were recurring events, and we want to extend them again but the selector for the 'Repeats: until' is locked, is it possible to unlock it or do we have to create another event?
Currently you would have to create another event or delete the recurring event and create a new one with the end date you want. Recurrences are very tricky logic, it has to create individual events and friendly urls for each one and the logic is very tricky especially taking into account the time zone and daylight savings time. I've logged a request for making it possible to change that but I'm not sure if/when that will be possible, but I will ponder it. We are also looking into a few more recurrance options.
Is there any setting available that will remove past events from being visible in the calendar month view? we have quite a few events in the calendar and removing past ones will tidy it up for us.
Calendar view only shows events for the visible month so it isn't clear to me how that is a problem. The only way to see old ones is to navigate the calendar to a previous month. You can always delete old events.
We also want to change some of the text, particularly the 'promise to pay later' text, the function works well, we just want it to say something a little different, is it right to change the entry in the resource file, I'm worried about it being overwritten in future updates, what's the right way to go about it?
I will log a request in our project tracker to make it possible to override the text of that button, it is a reasonable request and easy enough to accomodate. If there are other things you want to override the text on you'll need to make specific requests for each one and I will consider it.
I saw another post from someone asking about different ticket prices to the events, for us this would be great as we want to have different prices for adults and kids, is this being considered at all?
Yes it is being considered and actually lots of things are being considered for future improvements and extensions to Event Calendar Pro to meet a variety of use cases that people have asked about. It is just a matter of time and priorities of when we will get to these things.
Best,
Joe
