Unable to set All Users in Default Root Level Page View Roles

When trying to set "All Users" in Administration -> Permissions -> Default root level page view roles the setting does not persist when clicking Save.

Re: Unable to set All Users in Default Root Level Page View Roles

Hi Bill,

Thanks for the bug report, I confirm that I am able to produce this problem. I will fix this for the next release. For now I guess you'll have to set the view permissions after creating the root level page. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Best,

Joe

Re: Unable to set All Users in Default Root Level Page View Roles

Hi Bill,

A quick update on this, I just fixed it in my copy. It turned out that was actually saving it correctly, the bug is that it wasn't correctly checking the box for All Users in the UI even though it should. So it is really a display bug rather than a case where it is not saving.

So the problem is that it isn't checking the box for all users when it should so if you accidently save it without checking it it would lose that setting, but if you do check it before saving it is saving it, but it isn't correctly showing it as checked in the UI.

Best,

Joe

Re: Unable to set All Users in Default Root Level Page View Roles

Hi Joe,

Thanks.

One other related thing that perhaps there is something I don't understand and need to read up more. I was just on the demo site and set the default root level page view to All Users and Authenticated Users. Then went and created a new root level page. Only the All Users right was set on the security attributes of the new page.

Hi Bill,

That was also a bug, I just fixed it in my copy so it will be fixed in the next release.

Thanks,

Re: Unable to set All Users in Default Root Level Page View Roles

Thanks Joe.

Hey I probably owe you some beers/coffee or whatever. Instead I'll buy one of your premium products that I don't need now and keep it on the shelf. Just don't know which one; pretty sure I'll never need Invoice Pro so it will probably be Analytics.

Incidentally just noticed another issue ... see my avatar on the left? It shows only 2 posts for me and I know there have been many more. Probably should be in another thread but I have to run.

Disregard that post about the forum count....seems I have two accounts. Must have made one by mistake using Janrain.
