Is there a way that you can alter the required fields or even remove certain fields from being part of the registration process, the basic info of Name/Email would be perfect for us?
This is not currently possible but it seems like a reasonable request that would be easy enough to implement for free events. I've added a to do item in our project tracker to add support for that in the next release of Event Calendar Pro.
how can I change the day start time to be earlier than 9am from a view and an add standpoint?
I just created an article Event Calendar Pro Tips and Tricks that shows how you can set the start and end hours as well as styling on the Week View and Day View.
I don't currently have a solution for you to change the default start and end times in the Event Editor when creating new events, but I've added a to do item for that as well.
