Arranging Controls on Feature Instance Settings Page

Hi:

Is there a way to organize the order of the controls (TextBox, CheckBox, ISettingControl) on the Feature Instance Settings Page? I want the CheckBox to be above the TextBox it applies to. Is it simply the order of them in the config file? What does the sort order do in the config file?

Hi,

See the article Using the Installation System, the sortOrder for settings is a property in the config file. Note that if 2 items have the same sort order they may not sort as you wish, it is ok to have gaps in the sort order like 1000, 2000,... so that you lleave space to add ones in between later.
