First Menu Item Opens Root Default.aspx

Hi:

My first menu item is not attached to Default.aspx.  However, when I first open the site, and Default.aspx is shown, the title of the first menu item is shown in the tab title of IE. In other words, I don't want the first menu item to correspond to the first page shown.

Re: First Menu Item Opens Root Default.aspx

Hi,

Go to Administration > Add/Edit Pages. Select the page you want to be the home page and move it to the top of the list. Once it is at the top of the list, click the wrench icon to open the settings for that page. Deselect the "Include In Menu" option and save the settings. This will place a page as the home page but not show it in the menu.

HTH,
Joe D.
