Forgive me if this has been covered, but i couldn't find it in the forums. It's a simple question but difficult to put into words for a good query of the help docs.
I have a mojo install hosted with GoDaddy. I have multiple sites setup using shared hosting. All work fine. My main site (site 1) is www.mcgregor.us.com. One of the other sites is www.ntxsoccer.net.
If i type "ntxsoccer.net" into the url window in Firefox or IE, it goes to "http://ntxsoccer.net/" and displays site #1. When the "www" is not included, site 1 is the active site displayed.
I realize the solution is to just make sure and always type the "www", but i often type just the truncated domain name and i am sure others do as well.
Is this yet another GoDaddy issue? Do i have something misconfigured?
Thanks bob
Hi Bob,
you'll need to assign 2 host name mappings to the site, one for ntxsoccer.net and one for www.ntxsoccer.net
Then you should force it to one or the other using a preferred host name.
Hope that helps,
Joe
Thx. Simple enough. I made a contribution to the cause for that one.
Thanks a lot for the generous donation Bob! Very appreciated!
Best,
