Event Calendar Pro Question

Hey Joe, didn't know if I should contact you directly or post to the forum, so I'm posting to the forum.

Is there a way to limit registrations to registered users only in the event calendar pro? I want to show the available events, but I don't want to allow them to register until they create an account.

I think it would be easier if I explain the requirements. I want one major event, which is a conference. There is one cost for the conference, but there are sub-sections to the conference that require registration, but not payment. My thought is that if I require registration it would help to keep the data more consistent in order to track that one person is not registering for 2 sections that are taking place simultaneously (preventing other attendees from being able to register for a section). If this could be controlled automatically based on account that would be even better, but I'm guessing that's not an option. In the very least I want to make sure that this could potentially be manually caught.

Also, are there any ics file download options available for adding the event to Outlook, or integration to add events to Google Calendar or Yahoo Calendar? We bought a license in the past, but the requirements were not as particular back then and the site is live now so I can't play with the settings to find these things out.

Thanks!

Re: Event Calendar Pro Question

Yes, there is a setting in the feature settings "Allow Ticket Purchase Without Authentication?" if that is unchecked users have to register or sign into the site before they can complete the purchase or register for the event even if its free.

We don't currently have iCalendar support but it is a planned future enhancement.

Hope that helps,

Joe

Re: Event Calendar Pro Question

Thanks Joe, that is a big help. I have a very convoluted plan in mind for executing this with mojoPortal, but even with the Event Calendar Pro license the other options can't even compare with their associated costs. It looks like there's going to have to be a degree of human moderation, but it's the same with most of the other solutions that I'm looking at.

If you'll be adding the iCalendar functionality later, I'd suggest doing something like the "Add to my Calendar" function on this page in the right column. It's a slick execution, and I'm sure it wouldn't be that difficult once you output 1 format...

Thanks again for your promptness.
