IE9 <object> tag rendering issue?

  • What operating system were you running when the bug appeared?
  • What database platform is your site using?
  • What version of mojoPortal are you running?
  • What version of .NET do you use?
  • What steps are necessary to reproduce the issue? Compare expected results vs actual results.

IE9 <object> tag rendering issue?

Not sure how to describe this, so I'll just give this my best shot.

  • mP V2.3.6.6, editor TinyMCE.
  • Using the toolbar button to insert an object of type="application/x-mplayer2"
  • Renders fine in FF5 and Chrome, but IE doesn't display it at all.

I'm not sure if this is an issue with the editor's markup of the object tag, an IE9 issue, or a mojoPortal issue (doubtful). Anyone seen this problem, and if so, have you resolved it and how did you do it? I've played with the markup directly, but nothing seems to make any difference...
