New to MojoPortal and can't see how to link to documents that users need to view.

I have some pdf forms that I need to be able to have opened up from links on the web page. I assume there must be some way to upload these pdfs/forms and then link to them by using one of the editors however I just don't see it. I appreciate any help that you can offer.

Re: New to MojoPortal and can't see how to link to documents that users need to view.

Hi Richard,

To do this from the editor:

  1. Select the text that want to use for the link.
  2. Click the link icon in the toolbar.
  3. Click the "browse server" button in the link dialog box.
  4. Select the directory you want to upload the pdf to on the left hand side of the file explorer.
  5. In the Upload section (upper right) of the file explorer, click browse and then locate the file you want to upload.
  6. Click the upload button.
  7. In the directory/file list on the left, select the file you uploaded.
  8. In the file preview area (on the right), click the "select" button.
  9. Your link will be populated in the Link dialog box.
  10. Click the "OK" button.

To upload a lot of files at once:

  1. Click the File Manager link in the Admin Toolbar
  2. Click the "Alternate File Manager" link at the top of the file manager.
  3. Locate the directory you want to store the files.
  4. Click the "add files" button at the bottom of the file manager.
  5. Select all of the file you want to add from your computer.
  6. Click OK
  7. Click the "upload" button.
  8. Use the editor to link to the files.

Joe D.

Re: New to MojoPortal and can't see how to link to documents that users need to view.

Thanks Joe, shortly after posting this I was able to figure out the handling of individual files but was glad to see how to add multiple files. Now I am being hit with the error below when I try to open the file. I can see I have much to learn about MojoPortal if I am going to be able to use it to its potential.

HTTP Error 401.3 - Unauthorized
