Just wanted to post a notice for anyone who'd like to see some new skins for Mojo, I have re-interpreted some of the templates I've designed for Joomla! as MojoPortal skins, and I've created, so far, one or two new original skins for Mojo. I have quite a few more to add to the site, but so far there are half a dozen. I don't yet have a licensing notice posted, but all my templates/skins are published under Creative Commons Share Alike/Attribution, which just means that they're free to download and use if you leave my copyright notice and link intact.
You can find these Mojo skins at http://mojo.crypticsites.net -- I invite anyone interested in new designs, and invite your comments as well.
Thx!
Andria
Hi Andria,
These are very cool! Thanks for making your work available to the community. I encourage everyone to have a look at

I've also created a link to your site on the community downloads to make it a little easier to find without searching the forums.

Best,

I like all your designs, they are all very well done! I think Rustic Cabin is especially cool!
Thanks Joe, I really appreciate that -- as well as all your help with so many aspects of learning Mojo -- not that I'm really expert at it by any means! -- but thanks to you I can at least work with it enough to realize how awesome a CMS it is. I had a feeling about it when I first started reading about it, that it would be a really cool CMS; enough coding-type stuff to amuse us semi-geeks, yet simple enough for literally any person with basic computer skills to get content onto the web.
I've added a few more since that forum posting, including a couple of new Mojo-exclusive designs -- got another of those on the burner at the moment, and probably about a dozen more to adapt from their Joomla-template format. I'm encouraged to note that there have been a few downloads already, so perhaps others like them too. (crossing fingers!)
Now I gotta start plugging all this at my Joomla! site, to let other know how simple and straightforward Mojo is, compared to Joomla -- I think a lot of folks get discouraged, as I very nearly did, by how different it is to work on a windows server when you're used to some Linux flavor -- but once you get past a few basic understandings, it really kinda falls into place.
thx!
PS: Rustic Cabin is my husband's favorite too -- as noted on its demo page, it's where we lived when we got married and conceived our son -- really terrific memories!
I made a blog post about your free mojoPortal skins.

Hopefully that will drive a little traffic to your site.
Thanks a lot for sharing your work with the mojoPortal community!
Oooooh, is that what happened? I was seeing about 3-5 downloads throughout yesterday, picking up a single here and there as the day wore on -- this morning, I go in to upload another one, and wow, there's been almost 50 downloads! YAY!
What a cool anniversary present! (Yesterday was my 23rd wedding anniversary!)
(And the number of skins available is now up to a baker's dozen -- 13, 4 of which are all-original, made just for Mojo.)
