How to let link module sorted by post date

Hi, I posted several news into a link module on different date, seems it lists by link content, instead of by post date, anybody can let me know how to let these news listing and sorted by post date, such as below using a link module:

  • News #1    2010-05-28
  • News #2    2010-05-28
  • News #3    2010-05-26
  • News #4    2010-05-22

Thanks in advance!

Re: How to let link module sorted by post date

Hi,

There is currently no sorting by date in the Link module. It does have a sort rank for each item and items with lower sort rank sort nearer to the top of the list. So you can move links down by raising their sort rank and move links up by lowering the sort rank.

Hope it helps,

Joe

Thanks Joe for your quick response! It works like a charm by re-setting sort rank according to your description. Althrough it's not very convenient to set each item's sort rank correstly suppose we have thousand and hundrend news listing in a link module, I mean to add many news every day in the news center page, it just works any way.

Re: How to let link module sorted by post date

Hello Joe, meanwhile, I am considering to use HTML module for news center page, so that I don't need to set each news item's sort rank in link module correctly, but I am wondering how to enable paging of HTML module like link module does? Because you know, as a news center, there are several news catalogs and each catalog will have thousand and hundred news day by day.

Hi,

I would suggest using the Blog for your News Center. It has a lot of features that can be applied to News areas, most importantly is the RSS Feed.

Thanks Joe for your suggestion! Indeed I am not familiar with RSS Feed function of mojoPortal, anyway I will try to do it later. Unfortunately I can not access most of online demo video from China, otherwise, I should have basically mastered mojoPortal system already.

Best Regards!
