I've setup my site with the blog module and have been able to connect to the blog via Live Writer. However, I get an error when I try to view the recent posts
Blog Server Error
Server Error 0 Occurred
Could not get a list of recent posts.. Message:
Title.
I've tried setting up another blog with the default settings and I get the same error. If I open a post from the Recently Posted in Live Writer, I can open it that way, but I can't open it when selecting the blog name.
I'm on Windows 7 64-bit
Mojoportal version is 2.3.4.2 MSSQL
Steps to reproduce are:
1) Setup a blog in mojoPortal 2.3.4.2.
2) Setup Windows Live Writer to access this blog using the standard instructions on mojoportal.com.
3) Create post in Windows Live Writer and publish to the new blog.
4) Within Windows Live Writer, click on the Open button
5) When the Open dialogue box appears, select Recently posted and you should see your new post which you just published.
6) Now click on your new blog. This is where I get the error above.
Thanks, Matthew
I'm guessing that this isn't a hot item as it hasn't gotten any responses, but wanted to expand upon this issue to illustrate the problem. It appears that this is definitely the MetaWeblog API implementation which is causing the issue. I tried using w.bloggar against my mojoportal installation and got the following error:
Your blog server returned the following error message:
Could not get a list of recent posts.. Mesage: Title.
Is anyone else seeing this behavior. I get this message in w.bloggar when trying to open previous posts.
Hi Matthew,
I've put this on my to do list to look into it and see if I can reproduce it. I have not tried Live Writer in quite a while so I'm overdue to give it a spin anyway.
Best,
Joe
I was able to produce the problem and fix it, so it will be fixed in the next release.
Thanks for the bug report.
