Greek Translation and Messages

Hello.

I have installed Mojo portal to a UK server. Changed nothing related to localization.

I see most messages using Major in Greek. The translation is mostly WRONG or extremely poor, like it was done using google translate. That makes very hard to understand and use the software.

So the 1st question is how do i switch to english messages everywhere ?

After that maybe i will see what can i improve or translate from scratch.

Hi,

As discussed in the localization documentation, you can force a specific culture like this:

otherwise it uses the language preference from browser settings by default.

If you would like to update the resource files for Greek, that would be great, just zip up the changed files and send to me at joe dot audette at g mail dotcom

Thanks that works well, i see English messages everywhere.

Except some messages in the template of Artisteer (i think they come from Artisteer), like the "Welcome" in main page and the menu "Home". Not sure why ...

Home is a page name and Welcome is a module title, it comes from the database not resource files. There is no localization for content from the database, whatever content you create that is what the content will be. The Home page and the Welcome content is just default content created during installation. You could delete the content and create other pages and content with names as you like.

Thanks, most problems solved.

Still i see Greek messages here and there, for example in the Facebook - i Like it.

Some Greek text i mentioned above (facebook for example) seems to come from non-mojoportal, FB api maybe.

The Facebook Like button is just an iframe that loads a page from Facebook, so they must be localizing it on their end based on the browser language preference.
