modifying the mojo portal contact form

Hi!  I'm working with MojoPortal and would like to modify the contact form to send a confirmation email once someone submits an email thru the contact form. What's your suggestions on the best way to approach doing this?

Re: modifying the mojo portal contact form

I believe this would be easier to do with Form Wizard Pro as it has options to send to an address as a BCC.

Re: modifying the mojo portal contact form

Hi,

If you want the person who filled in the form to receive an email confirmation, you could setup an Autoresponder on your email host. You will also have to set the "Use entered email as from address" option on the Contact Form instance.

Of course, this would require that the email address you use for the form is not your regular email address.

HTH,
Joe D.

Re: modifying the mojo portal contact form

Hi,

First, I recommend that you don't modify any mojoPortal feature unless you clone it first and then you can modify your clone.

While Form Wizard Pro does have some advanced features compared to the free contact form, it does not send email to the user who posted, it only sends notifications to the email address you specify the same as with the contact form. Even the free contact form has bcc but it is not bcc to the person who submits the form it is bcc to an email address you specify in the setting for Bcc.

Hope it helps,

Joe
