  • What operating system were you running when the bug appeared?
  • What database platform is your site using?
  • What version of mojoPortal are you running?
  • What version of .NET do you use?
  • What steps are necessary to reproduce the issue? Compare expected results vs actual results.

Does mojo require me to have an Azure db?

Hello,

mojoPortal does not require you to use SQL Azure. You can use any of the databases listed on this page: http://www.mojoportal.com/download.aspx.

You will need to follow the instructions for the database of your choice. I think you have mistakenly set the MSSQL Azure connection string in the user.config or web.config instead of the MSSQL connection string.

If you get this message it means you downloaded the mojoPortal package for SqlAzure rather than the package for MS SQL.

In theory (I have not tested it so don't hold me to it) you could probably use the mojoPortal SqlAzure package with SQL Express 2008 or SQL Server 2008, but you would have to use the SqlAzureConnectionString instead of the MSSQLConnectionString.

Then you would also always have to remember to use the SqlAzure packages when upgrading.
