SilverLight Text Label Issue

Portal Version:   2.2.8.1 
Portal  DB:        FirebirdSql

We are using Silverlight applications in a few of the the user controls in the portal. The issue is that one of the Silverlight C# app compiles and runs perfectly outside of the portal.

It works "mostly" in the portal except for one small issue. We are displaying text labels for icons. The labels are all text and nothing extraordinary is being done with the text.

We have one particular label that happens to be a Mac Address. It displays fine in the Silverlight project, but once compiled into a XAP file and called in the ASCX in the portal, the label won't show. This is this Mac address label. No error, no nothing. The icon appears fine...just no label. Interesting, no?

I have tried everything i can think of to troubleshoot this, but the full debug can only be done in the Silverlight project, and that is working as it should.

Can anyone shed some light on this quirk?
