Hey, not really a huge success story, but I installed and had the site up and running in just a few minutes. I'm not used to that b/c I've been working with DNN. It seems every time I tried DNN, it always took AT LEAST 1/2 a day to get it working.
Plus, DNN charges $80 for a magazine (with video tutorials), then doesn't even put any Developer tutorials out there(I guess they sell more books that way). What a load of cr@p!!
Great job and keep those Developer videos coming. Making developing easier for us could definitely propel you ahead of DNN.
Glad to hear it!
More developer videos are definitely in the works for 2010.
Best,
Joe
Hi All,
I just want to share my first impression with mojoing!
I used to develop from scratch (of course using reusable classes and components) and always prefered this approach for most of my development projects, may be I needed more of freedom and appreciated problem solving kind. I tried other CMSs, like DNN, sitefinity, Umbreco and recently Kentico. I heared of and checked on your website sometimes ago about mojo and yesterday i started playing with mojo to measure for myself for new project. honestly speaking amazed!, installation and configuration is straight forward, hassle free! I almost have now a 60-70 % completed site, which i can upload it for testing.
customization of skins at the source code and organizing the content design layout was made so easy! thanks a million. I really think with some addition of fundamental modules (may be i don't know it is already made available outside the standard installtion), anyone can have a truly rapid web development in overnight! with a professional looking, well integrated and quality site! I have missed some important web components in the package, which i will be posting in the relevant forum.
The financial feasibility? no cost, no limitation! but i personally believe it need to be supported by all means to make sustinable development and acknowledge the effort, time and money the developers spent on this solution. may be, through purchasing advanced components (modules), site templates, hosting support & affilation, and direct donation to the project and so on. Business continuity and continous research and development is a major criteria for product selection, although it's 100% free.
I would like to express my sincer appreciation, admiration and thanks to the development team for making this truely production web development solution. Ms. Joe, keep up the good job and i will keep on updating you on my progress being mojoian!
