File sharing module permissions

Hello Joe,

 

I was trying to create a file sharing modulo where authenticated users can upload files but not access the module settings. Is it possible? I ask because when I set the edit permission only for administrators, the other uses can't upload anymore...

In the latest version 2.3.1.9, in Site Settings > Security > Permissions there is a setting for roles that are not allowed to edit feature instance settings. Check Authenticated Users there and then allow authenticated users to upload in the Shared Files settings.

Remember that if they can upload they can also delete files. I would not trust strangers with this feature myself.
