Create new skin

Create new skin

Hi Joe,

 Hope all is well, just need a short tip on how to create a new Skin , I'm workin on a project that requires me to create a new layout, I know you have tons of layout there provided but I wanted to come up with a placeholder for a video.

 I tried looking at adding properties to mojoBasePage.cs and using it under default.aspx.cs but I wonder how does mojo knows that "mainContent" is the one you want to use and not "rightContent".

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Gil,

I recommend you don't make any changes at all to mojoportal code, otherwise you will not be able to upgrade without losing your changes.

Its possible to put 2 extra placeholders in a skin, see http://www.mojoportal.com/morethan3contentpanels.aspx

Also you could just create your video player in a UserControl and ad it into the layout.master file of your skin, or create a custom feature, then show it on all pages by putting a ModuleWrapper in layout.master.
