changing layout of master page

changing layout of master page

Hi, I dont know what happened, all i did was changed the layout of master.layout, locally the new layout was working fine but as soon as i uploaded it to live site the whole header got screwed up, there is no header at all.

earlier i had 2 images in header, now i changed that to three new images, everything is gone. NOt sure whats the issue as i cant recreate it locally.

Please help!!

further to my last post, in master.layout i disabled the registered button, after uploading it, it still shows this register button. I have made sure many times that i am uploading the right master page and yes i am. I am into the right folder, it seems that it is taking the master page from else where,

please note that i have only changed the hearder div from 2 old pictures to 3 new pictures thats all. the whole header disappeared, the content and the menu shifted top where header was. locally it is working perfectly. am i missing something? are these changes to master page needs to be copied else where? all three pictures are uploaded and are in same folder. Any help will be appreciated as i am stuck.....

You say you are sure you are uploading it to the correct folder but you do not say what the folder path is and why you are sure it is correct.

The symptom certainly sounds like you are not uploading it to the correct place.

Also you don't really need to delete the register button from the skin, you can disable registration from Site Settings page.
