Problem Installing Event Calendar Pro

  • What operating system were you running when the bug appeared?
  • What database platform is your site using?
  • What version of mojoPortal are you running?
  • What version of .NET do you use?
  • What steps are necessary to reproduce the issue? Compare expected results vs actual results.

Problem Installing Event Calendar Pro

I have run into a problem while installing Event Calendar Pro. I think I know what caused the problem, but I cannot figure out how to fix the problem.

I uploaded the files to my server, ran the Setup scripts, then touched Web.config. But when I went to add an Event Calendar Pro content module to a page, the option was not available.

So I checked the server logs and found the following:

2009-03-31 10:27:19,713 ERROR mojoPortal.Web.ContentFeature - could not install feature FeatureName. Invalid ControlSource Setting. Filenot found: ~/Events/EventModule.ascx

Double checked my files - I'd uploaded the Events folder into the wrong location. Re-uploaded it into the correct location, ran Setup again, touched Web.config again. There are no new errors in the log.

Can I manually add this feature to mojoPortal, as for adding custom features? If not, is there another way to get this working?


System specs:
Win2003, IIS6, MSSQL, mojoPortal 2.2.9.6

 Hi Lorien,

Yes you can manually install it, though I "thought" it should correct itself when you ran setup again. I'll have to look into that.

Just go to Administration Menu > Advanced Tools > Feature Installation/Configuration.

Verify that you don't already see it in the list of installed features. If not then click add new feature at the bottom

For Feature Name Resource Key put "FeatureName"

For Resource File put "STSEventCal"

For Control Source put "Events/EventModule.ascx"

For Feature Guid put "5a343d88-bce1-43d1-98ae-b42d77893e7b"

For sort order 500

For Default Cache 0

After saving it visit the setup page one more time to make sure it gets its module settings.
