Delay on content creation

Delay on content creation

 I have installed mojoPortal 2.2.8.6 MSSQL on Windows Server 2003 with .NET 3.5 and SQL Server 2005 installed on a separate 2003 server. The site works fine and I can add/delete pages without a problem. However, when I add content to a page using PageLayout.aspx, the content doesn't show up for a few minutes after clicking the "Create New Content" button. The content creation/management page (PageLayout.aspx) doesn't show the newly added content during this time either.

I have no clue why this is occurring and I hope someone can help me.
