If you have questions about using mojoPortal, you can post them here.
You may want to first review our site administration documentation to see if your question is answered there.
Hi,
I've created a Shared File content and the role that can edit is Administrator only. When I log in as Administrator, I can read, delete and upload files.
I also have created a role named Engineering Dept with has only a member named engineer.
When I log in as engineer, I can read but cannot delete files but the problem is I still can upload files. I expect the user can do nothing except read and download files. What's wrong with my setting?
thank you,
Samuel
Hi Samuel,
The user can upload if he has edit permission on the shared files instance, but also the user can upload if he has edit permission on the page that contains the shared files instance. So be sure and check both of those permissions.
Hope it helps,
Joe
Thanks, Joe.
I've created a role named Engineering Admin just for the user.
Edit permission of the page is assigned just for Administrator and Content Administrator role while Edit permission for the shared files instance is assigned just for Administrator.
The user is not member of both Administrator and Content Administrator but he stll can upload files.
many thanks,
I noticed that upload file feature displayed to all user (authenticed or no authenticated).
I expect only user of role I got privilege to edit the instance can upload file. Is it bug?
thanks,
You are right, this is a bug apparently introduced recently. I have it fixed here so it will be fixed in the next release.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Best,
Thanks Joe,
When will next release be launched?
Regards,
I'm working on it now, hopefully later today or tomorrow at the latest.
Great Joe...
We are in comparing MojoPortal & DotNetNuke. If we decide to use the MojoPortal, I'll buy a beer for you :)
