Changing order of custom registration fields

Hi Joe, is it possible to change the order of custom registration fields entered? Ideally I'd like my custom registration fields to appear above the mandatory ones (i.e. I want to add First Name, Surname etc as the first fields they fill in). I suspect this is possible but I am not sure how :-) Thanks, Leah

Hi Leah,

Sorry but its not currently possible to change the positioning in relation to the mandatory fields, its only possible to change the position of custom fields in relation to other custom fields. They appear in the order entered in the profile.config file.

Thanks, yep I have them in the order I want relative to one other, just not relative to the mandatory fields :-) But I can live with it. Hope you're well, Leah

Is it on the  Registration Page or UserProfile page or Admin/ManageUser.aspx (or some combination) where you want to put the custom stuff above the mandatory fields?

I've looked into it and it would be easy enough to add a config setting to make this possible.

I guess you mean only on the  Registration page since on other pages its on different tabs.

If you put this in your user.config file:

<add key="ShowCustomProfilePropertiesAboveManadotoryRegistrationFields" value="true" />

it will start working after the next release.
