Make content rating working with custom skins

When posting in this forum, please try to provide as many relevant details as possible. Particularly the following:

  • What operating system were you running when the bug appeared?
  • What database platform is your site using?
  • What version of mojoPortal are you running?
  • What version of .NET do you use?
  • What steps are necessary to reproduce the issue? Compare expected results vs actual results.

You may also want to review the installation or upgrading documentation.

Make content rating working with custom skins

I guess, it must be noted, that if someone is using custom skins, the following entries must be added to stylelayout.css

.ratingcontainer { float: right; }
.ratingrow { white-space:nowrap; }
.ratingStar { white-space:nowrap; margin:1em; height:14px;}
.ratingStar .ratingItem { font-size: 0pt; width: 13px; height: 12px; margin: 0px;padding: 0px; display: block;
background-repeat: no-repeat; cursor:pointer;}
.ratingStar .Filled { background-image: url(ratingStarFilled.png);}
.ratingStar .Empty { background-image: url(ratingStarEmpty.png);}
.ratingStar .Saved { background-image: url(ratingStarSaved.png);}
.ratingcomments { border: black 1px solid; background-color: #eeeeee; color:#000000; width:300px;height: 210px;padding: 5px;position: absolute;margin-top: 15px; }
.ratingcommentbox{ width: 280px; height: 100px; }

The .png-files mentioned can be found in the other skin-directories.
Without that change, the rating-feature will not work correctly.

You are right! I've updated all the included skins but users of custom ones need to update their own. This is kind of an ongoing issue as new features are added there are new css classes and resources so periodically its needed to review existing skins and update custom ones. I'm going to start an FAQ page soon and link to good forum posts like yours to make it easier to find answers to common issues.
