Event Calendar Pro - Filtered List View

Hello, I'm using Event Calendar Pro and have a feature request.  I would find the addition of support for filtered List Views to be very helpful.  In other words, the ability to have a List View instance display only specific events from a master calendar.  One possible way to implement this would be to allow for a group or event type ID to be entered in the event detail.  Then, after picking a data source on the List View instance, have a multiselect list showing the available event types, or even just a text box to enter a delimited string of event types that should be shown.

As it stands right now, it looks like I need to set up a second full calendar instance, and re-enter all of my target events again so that they will display in both calendars.

If there is a way to accomplish what I am trying to do in the current version, I'd love to hear about it!  I've only been using it for a day, so it is possible I missed something.

Thanks,

Shannon

Re: Event Calendar Pro - Filtered List View

Hello Shannon,

You can do this with the RSS Feed generated by the calendar.

Add the Feed Manager feature to a page and turn on the 'Selective Publishing' option. Next, add the RSS Feed url from calendar to the Feed Manager and view the page with the Feed Manager on it. Click the publishing link next to the Feed Manager title and select the items you want displayed.

You can also enable the 'Use Calendar View' option in the Feed Manager to show a calendar instead of a list.

HTH,
Joe D.

Re: Event Calendar Pro - Filtered List View

Thanks for the reply, Joe!  I'm still having a bit of trouble...when I go to select which events to publish, the feed manager is only showing me the next 20 items in the main calendar to choose from, none of which are ones that I want to publish (most of my publishable events don't start until mid-March).  I've played around with the configuration settings of the feed manager, but haven't found one that makes more than 20 items show up in the list.  I also verified the calendar feed setting for how far out in the future it will publish events was set far enough out, but no joy.  Is there another setting elsewhere that has an impact on this behavior?
