where is the Menu? We're sorry but a server error has occurred while trying to process your request.

Yesterday, i install the Mojoportal. It works perfectly

And now, i miss the Menu. If i click on the Link "Add/Edit Page" then i see only this Message:

We're sorry but a server error has occurred while trying to process your request. 

The error has been logged and will be reviewed by our staff as soon as possible. It is possible that the error was just a momentary hiccup and you may wish to use the back button and try again or go back to the home page.
 

 

Can anyone help me?

Hi,

It will be easier to help if you can find the error.

You can see the error log under Administration > System Log or you can look in the file system /Data/currentlog.config

Hi,

Those errors are from 2 days ago, probably normal errors during setup. Are there any newer errors? The new ones will be at the bottom of the file.

If you are seeing the site without the menu the first thing I would try is to recycle the app. You can do this by download your web.config, type a space in it to modify it and upload it again. This will recycle the app and maybe will restore your menu. It seems that maybe the SiteMap is cached without the pages. Maybe a db timeouot or something caused it.

Thanks... i have a lot to do... only the styles for the Blogmodul is completed. And i must create a Fix for IE6. I user PNG-Files with alpha-transperenz :-)

I've got a similar error, only in a different situation. I'm trying to edit an html content, and I'm getting this error. The weird thing is, it only happens on the remote site, my local development site works fine.

You might try to do a search on the remote site to make sure the search index is initialized. Other than that I would check that on the remote machine the folder /Setup/indexbuilderconfig has the same contents as on your local machine. Remove any extra files if found.

Thanks a lot for the suggestions.

Actually, I remembered that my local installation (the one that works) is different from the production site (that doesnt work). I would like to investigate further, but I'm in a hurry, so I just copied the site and everything's fine now.
