Form Wizard Pro 2.6.1 Notification Failure With Attachments

Hi Joe,

I have some forms setup that let users add attachments. The form submission works and the files get uploaded correctly because I can use the "Browse Submissions" to see each submission and related attachments.  However, the notification emails are not getting sent if an attachment is made. If an attachment is not done, he email notification gets sent correctly.

I checked the system log and no errors are being reported.  Any idea if this is expected behavior?  I'm attaching sample windows 7 wallpapers for my test and the files are all less than 1 MB.

My site is configured to send emails using my gmail account.

Hi Scott,

I looked into this and can't replicate it. It works fine for me with or without attachments though I'm not using gmail. gmail is kind of a dubious email provider for a website and they may not like it when email that does not originate from their web client has attachments.

I would try uncheck the box in notification settings so attachments are not included in the notification and see if it works any better.

Also make sure you are using Form Wizard Pro 2.6.1.1 and the latest mojoPortal.

I've upgraded mojoportal to the latest version as well as the STS form wizard pro, I've created a new email address through godaddy and I'm still having the same issue.  I tried with and without having the attachment sent as part of the notification email.

The form sends a notification fine without attachment but with attachment no notification gets sent.

 

Do you have any other guesses as to what to try?  This is critical for the site workflow as we are trying to go paperless but without attachment notifications working, this would pretty much force us to stick with a paper workflow.

GoDaddy has a lot of restrictions on email they provide with your web site, ie they don't let you send very many etc and they may not allow attachments. I would check with them, the most likely problem is that the mail is being dropped for some reason by the mail server.
