It is likely the problem is with your hosted server or perhaps your internet connection. To check whether saving page edits always takes as long as you are seeing, why not try the same thing on the mojoPortal demo site.
InqInq - I have a shared client who hosts their site on GoDaddy. If it's a shared hosting account, expect to see issues with site speed, especially anything that's not cached, like new content being added through the editor. If you want to stay with GoDaddy, you might want to upgrade your account.
