If you have questions about using mojoPortal, you can post them here.
You may want to first review our site administration documentation to see if your question is answered there.
I have some users who share the same email address, but mojoportal requires a unique email per account.
Our site is internal, using LDAP for authentication. Is there a way to allow duplicate email addresses without modifying the core source?
Unfortunately our email provider doesn't support the + address extension, so we have to literally use the same address for users who share it. I'm aware this will mean duplicate forum notifications.
Hi,
No, it's not possible for two accounts to have the same email address. Why do you need to do that anyway?
Thanks,Joe D.
We have some small POSs managed by two salesmen each, both sharing the same email address despite having different domain accounts. We want them to use the internal site but only one of them is allowed to have the shared email address.
They definitely need separate domain accounts to use the POS and I was wary of forcing duplicate emails without knowing how will it affect the site. I'm glad you confirmed it is indeed a bad idea, I too disliked the idea of a single mailbox receiving notifications of multiple users.
