I set <add key="AllowChangingFriendlyUrlPattern" value="true" /> in web.config
I m not sure it support on windows?
because In site setting comment it say that : (available on linux)
Windows ~/somepage.aspx Linux/mono ~/somepage
but I really found ~/somepage url pattern works in windows if I set page-name option and I not creat somepage directory.
does ~/somepage url pattern have any potential weakness?
how to do is correct?
Those notes are old and outdated. Extensionless urls did not work out of the box in IIS 6 but they do work fine in IIS 7 and higher using an Integrated application pool. See the article Extensionless Urls.
