Folder Size does not display properly

Hi,

I am running portal 2.3.1.9 with MS SQL and using the Shared Files feature I have users uploading files but it seems that no matter how many files they upload the root folder always shows a size of 0KB.

Why is this? Is that a fix?

Thanks

Dominique.

Re: Folder Size does not display properly

Hi,

Please try and reproduce the problem on demo.mojoportal.com then you will know if it is a bug in the latest release or not. 2.3.1.9 is a very old version.

Best,

Joe

Re: Folder Size does not display properly

Yep. I did try it on the demo site. Looks like it is a problem with the version I have. I guess an upgrade is in order.

I dont have SQL version 2005 or 2008 though so stuck with 2000. Up to which version can I go without having to upgrade the database version?

Re: Folder Size does not display properly

As indicated on the Upgrade document, you can upgrade up to version 2.3.4.5 which was the last version to support MS SQL 2000. However there was a security issue identified existing as of version 2.3.4.3 and possibly also affecting older versions including your current version. It was fixed as of version 2.3.5.3 but upgrading to that version does require migrating to a newer version of MS SQL.

I recommend reading all the release notes from your current version up to the latest version and it would be best to migrate your current version to SQL 2005/2008, then upgrade all the way to the latest version.

Best,

Joe
