Captcha Expires

Hi:

I recently began experiencing some problems with the contact form and registration forms in version 2.3.5.5.  Occasionally, after filling out the form, typing in the Captcha code (I am using the standard Captcha), and pressing the send button, I get the following message:  "Sorry, but this form has expired. Please try again."

It does not appear to be a matter of time because sometimes it happens when I finish filling out the form in a few seconds, while other times the operation succeeds if I take 2 minutes to fill out the form.  I have noticed the problem on multiple, separate installations within an Arvixe Reseller class account.  Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

 

EDIT:  I believe the following log messages correspond to the last occurrence of this issue on my system:

2010-12-14 10:41:30,605 INFO mojoPortal.Web.Global - Application Started. 
2010-12-14 10:43:29,976 INFO mojoPortal.Web.Global - Global.asax.cs Application_End 
2010-12-14 10:43:32,847 INFO mojoPortal.Web.Global - Application Started. 

I logged into the web site initially at 10:41.  A couple of minutes later, I tested the contact form and got the "expired message".  I immediately entered the new Captcha code, and the send was successful.

It is possible that the application restarting could expire a captcha, but one would not expect this to happen very frequently. If you application is restarting frequently you should probably report it to your host, it could be the memory limit is too low on the application pool and this would cause it to recycle frequently and would be bad for performance.
