I know there have been several posts on this matter in the forums but I recently faced an issue that seems new to me and I could not find a turnaround.

Scenario:

• In a site there's a feed manager in home page that gets and aggregates feeds from the several department blogs (the latest two post per blog)
• Each blog posts have a customized excerpts containing a small thumbnail image.
• The small image of the excerpt is usually shown in the home page feed manager instance

Issue

When I populate the Google Map Location of one of the Blog Posts shown in the feed instance, the Excerpt image disappears from the feed in home page.

The excerpt is still correctly shown in the excerpt list of the blog but not in the feed anymore.

Any Idea ?

Hi Joe,

I reproduced the same issue on your demo site.

Based on your statement

if the full blog post content length is less than the excerpt length setting in blog settings then it shows the full post

I then added in my site a couple of text lines filled with blanks to extend the post text length over the settings limit and ... voila te excerpt was back at its place.

I should keep this in mind.

While I'm here and you can check in your demo site, please note a further collateral issue when post length < excerpt length:

The author is shown even if you uncheck the option
