Form Wizard Pro - upload error

Hi Joe. I think I've discovered a bug with the Form Wizard Pro file upload. When you submit a form that has uploads the email notification does not go out. The message goes into the admin holding area and can be viewed from there, but no email. If I disable uploads or choose not to upload a file with the form submission then the email goes out as expected.

I verified this on a couple different installs and looked at all the settings, changed things around and still can't get the email to go out. No errors in the system log.

Mojo: 2-3-9-7,  FormWizard: 2-6-1-1

Re: Form Wizard Pro - upload error

Similar problem was reported previously here, but I was not able to replicate the problem. It worked for me both with and without files.

Only suggestions I have are to try settings configured to not include the file attachments in the email and see if that changes anything. Very possible that mail filters are more aggressive when there are attachments or that something is blocking sending or receiving the mail if it does have attachments.

Other than that I would try updating to the latest versions of mojoPortal and Form Wizard Pro.

Hope that helps,

Joe

Re: Form Wizard Pro - upload error

The email is hosted on the same server and as the email admin I don't see anything in the spam hold or other indications it's being blocked. I also unchecked the "include attachment with the email" and it still didn't go out.

I can try upgrading to the slightly newer version. It's kind of a big process for me to upgrade, but I can try if you think that might be it.

Re: Form Wizard Pro - upload error

I can only fix problems that I can reproduce with the latest versions. Even if a problem does exist in an older version the first resolution is to upgrade to the latest version and see if it still happens. If it does then I will try again to reproduce it and if I were able to reproduce the problem I would fix it and then release a new version with the fix. So any resolution to the problem from my end is going to require upgrading to the latest versions.

The only version of Form Wizard Pro newer than 2.6.6.1 is 2.6.1.2 which is the latest version and requires mojoPortal 2.3.9.9.

I'm not sure what you mean by a slightly newer version unless you mean of mojoPortal but if you are upgrading mojoPortal there is no point to upgrading to any version but the newest, it is the same amount of work to upgrade to mojoPortal 2.3.9.9 as it would be to upgrade to 2.3.9.8

Re: Form Wizard Pro - upload error

You're right on this one. The minor version upgrade did the trick, email goes out now with the attachment.

It's a big process for me to upgrade since I have to do all installs at the same time to keep them consitent, 25 sites each, backups and then a lot of testing! Mojo itself is easy to upgrade, it's just everything that goes along with it that takes forever.
