Accessibility

Accessibility is an important goal for any Content Management System that aims to support as many users as possible. There is a lot to learn to meet not only the legal guidelines for web accessibility but also the vision that guides such legislation.

In mojoPortal I have done some things to try and make the software more accessible but there is still a great deal of room for improvement. I am committed to learning as much as I can about the issues and the recommended solutions fo those issues as possible in order to improve mojoPortal and make it more accessible.

To that end, I recently applied for membership and was accepted into the Guild of Accessible Web Designers

I am already finding it a valuable resource for learning how to implement accessible web sites and I am beginning a phase of evaluating all of the features of mojoPortal in terms of accessibility and how to improve it.

For developers interested in techniques for accessible design, I'm starting a list of resources. If you know of good links to helpful resources let me know.
